Inner City Eats

• Indochine Kitchen - Vietnamese tapas bar on the corner of Fort Street and Gore Street
• Odettes Eatery - latest restaurant to open in the City Works Depot, where Miss Pings (and before that, Shed 5) used to be. Owned by the couple from Zomer, the new kitchen is headed by Josh Kucharick, a Québécois Canadian
• Cépage - cheese and wine bar in Vulcan Lane, from the duo behind The Black Hoof
  
• Scarecrow - pop up local grocer and coffee bar, with food prepared by AUT Hospitality School students. Open until 23rd December.
• District 5 - Vietnamese street food in Shortland Street, from the owners of Cafe Viet
• Society & Nook - bar and cafe in Exchange Lane, with a tapas menu
• Running Horse - little hidden cafe in the city, in Rutland Street
• Alley House - Korean sausage house, where the city branch of Ramen Do used to be
• Bubble Bear (中華泡泡熊大奶X店) - bubble tea restaurant on Fort Street
• Bagel Belly - container stall by the carpark next to Atrium on Elliott, selling, uh, bagels
• Zambrero - this Australian Mexican food chain has opened in Vulcan Lane, with branches coming to Elliott Street and K'Road too

Big Names in the Suburbs

• Apero - food and wine bar on K'Road, from owners Ismo Koski (ex Maitre d’ of Sidart and Merediths) and his partner Leslie Hottiaux, (ex sous chef at The Grove and Baduzzi)
• Chinoiserie - Taiwanese street food in Mount Albert, from the owners of L'oeuf next door (brothers Jasper and Ludo Maignot, and partner Celeste Thornley)
• Woodworks - eatery in Avondale, from the former proprietors of Sandringham's Petit Bocal (Jess Brewer and Mattieu Gosset)

• Dutch Delight in Birkenhead has split (sold half) and renovated
• C'est Fromage in Newmarket is expanding

• Ima Deli - breakfast, lunch and dinner inspired by Tel Aviv, Israel, a couple of doors down from Ima Restaurant
• Zool Zool - noodle house and Izakaya bar in Mount Eden village, where a branch of Haru No Yume used to be
• Miami Grill - first international store of the American franchise serving burgers, subs, hot dogs and more (opening in December)
• Italia Square - complex in Parnell including an Italian restaurant, gelateria and deli featuring over 500 food and wine suppliers (opening in December)
• Seafood Paradise (海上人家) - Chinese seafood restaurant by the Auckland Fish Market
• Mojo is opening its seventh branch in Auckland in Durham Street East
