- Pasture - small 25-seater restaurant with a fixed 6-course menu (unless it's Sunday when there will be a rustic menu) using local and seasonal produce, with a focus on sustanability and traditional techniques such as fermenting, pickling and preserving, offering a unique dining experience from chef Ed Verner and wife Laura, in the alleyway behind Hattitude in Parnell
- The Kitchen by MR TOMS - brand new restaurant at the back of the popular MR TOMS bar in Ponsonby, where head chef Tom Williamson can flex his culinary skills
- Cuba Libre - colourful Caribbean-inspired rum bar in Ponsonby, with "the best cuba libres and cubanos in town"
On the Fringe - Mount Eden and Newmarket
- The Midnight Baker - the alternative Freedom Loaf now has its own toast cafe in Mount Eden, with a menu free of gluten, wheat, dairy, and also 95% vegan and refined sugar free (opened 1 September)
- Eiffel en Eden - this French cafe has a new premise in Mount Eden since its original location in Three Kings is being demolished
- The Good Home - this chain of pubs has now opened in Mount Eden
- Sip Kitchen - new branch of this North Shore cafe has brought its smoothies and salads to Newmarket
