- Indochine Kitchen - Vietnamese tapas bar on the corner of Fort Street and Gore Street
- Odettes Eatery - latest restaurant to open in the City Works Depot, where Miss Pings (and before that, Shed 5) used to be. Owned by the couple from Zomer, the new kitchen is headed by Josh Kucharick, a Québécois Canadian
- Cépage - cheese and wine bar in Vulcan Lane, from the duo behind The Black Hoof
- Scarecrow - pop up local grocer and coffee bar, with food prepared by AUT Hospitality School students. Open until 23rd December.
- District 5 - Vietnamese street food in Shortland Street, from the owners of Cafe Viet
- Society & Nook - bar and cafe in Exchange Lane, with a tapas menu
- Running Horse - little hidden cafe in the city, in Rutland Street
- Alley House - Korean sausage house, where the city branch of Ramen Do used to be
- Bubble Bear (中華泡泡熊大奶X店) - bubble tea restaurant on Fort Street
- Bagel Belly - container stall by the carpark next to Atrium on Elliott, selling, uh, bagels
- Zambrero - this Australian Mexican food chain has opened in Vulcan Lane, with branches coming to Elliott Street and K'Road too
